When a Lubricant Sampler Makes More Sense
A large bottle can make sense when you already know which formula you like and use it regularly. When you are still comparing options, a sampler can be a smaller commitment. It also lets each partner read a different label and ask a different question before either of you spends money on a full-size bottle.
Compare the formats, not just the price
The ID Lubricant Sampler, five tubes and the ID Glide Water-Based Lubricant, 17 oz illustrate the difference. Check what’s included in the sampler, the quantity on each tube, and the ingredients. The same brand name doesn’t mean the formulas are interchangeable. Check the directions and material compatibility for each product you consider.
Be honest about what you will use
If a favorite already works for you, replacing it with a range of samples may add more decisions than value. If you and your partner have different preferences, smaller quantities can leave room to compare without stocking a shelf with bottles. Buying less can be the sensible choice even if the per-ounce price is higher.
